Cognitive Science validates Experiential Engineering.

The only way to achieve training, especially in abilities, behaviour, attitudes and skills, is through experience. Passing on values and identifying abilities and emotional capacities verbally does not achieve the aim of training or identifying lacks, but only provides information on them and, in many cases, only leads to frustration. This isn't just what we say but is also the opinion of experts and specialists in the human brain:

"True knowledge is not passed on to other people as if it were money or a virus [...]. In reality, all learning that is not experiential is useless. We don't learn through words but as a result of our own experiences. A teacher can take us by the hand and show us this experience but cannot make us live it by explaining it with words and hoping we assimilate and learn it".

Òscar Vilarroya, holder of “The social brain” professorship, Director of the Cognitive Neuroscience Research unit at the Department of Psychiatry of the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
